Sarah Rose

I first became interested in acupuncture when I was treated for headaches as a young child. Experiencing acupuncture at a young age gave me a profound understanding of Chinese medicine and how it could enhance the body’s healing abilities. Much later in life when travelling in China, I saw acupuncture first hand in its birthplace. I was inspired by how Chinese medicine worked so well in conjunction with Western medicine and became determined to play my part in bringing Chinese medicine into mainstream British medical practice.

On returning to England I completed my Licentiate in Acupuncture (LIC Ac.), and BSc (hons) in Acupuncture. This comprehensive course teaches the theory of Chinese medicine; the safe practice of acupuncture; and significant study of Western pathology, physiology and anatomy. I am always updating and expanding my knowledge in the field of Chinese medicine with ongoing studies, to provide a wider range of experience and techniques to my patients.

I am a fully insured member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC), and as such am bound to abide by its safety standards and code of ethics. Acupuncture as carried out under the British Acupuncture Council's code of practice and is approved by the Blood Transfusion Services of the UK for people who wish to donate blood.
